The BIG move!

So, about a month and a half ago, I made a big change in my life, I MOVED! Who would have thunk it? Everyone kept saying "You're never gonna leave." I didn't think I was going to leave, it never even crossed my mind, but I did...and it was the BEST decision I've ever made.

I've moved to Maryland, and although I get homesick from missing my parents, family, and friends, I LOVE it here. Everyone who reads my blog knows that I was unemployed. 2 weeks after moving here, I had a job. I was sooo excited. In my excitement, I had to go home to my grandaddy's funeral. It sucked. I knew he was sick and they were saying he wasn't going to make it, but that wasn't what I wanted my first trip back home to be for. I miss him like crazy! Before I left, I spent a few days with him, and before I left I told him I loved him and he told me he loved me too. That moment will always be ingrained in my mind. My grandaddy and I had our ups and downs, but now that I think about it, he always wanted what was best for me. He wanted me to be independent and succeed in whatever I did. I love him for that. Sometimes we need that tough love and for someone to tell us that we need to get it together and he did that. I love him so much for that and I miss him a lot.

Now that I've moved to Maryland, life is better. I'm working, which is a HUGE and AMAZING blessing. I thank God for this opportunity. Where I live is a nice city, and the people I work with are great. They are all really nice, hard working, and HILARIOUS! Especially my manager, I love her! Being here with my brother is amazing too. I love being here with him, and we are supportive of each other. We don't do much of anything other than me working and him going to school, but it is still great. I am always happy, with a smile on my face. At home, not working, was miserable. I felt like a bum, and I HATED Dayton. Now, I will admit, people here aren't as nice, and I thought Ohioans were bad...umm...no. There is also a language barrier! LOL. I go into a Subway and there are all Hispanics. McDonald's..same thing. They all speak English very well. People think that they are so bad and coming and taking all of our jobs and not speaking our language...PLEASE! Get over it. They are hard working and have huge families just like we do. They are willing to work the jobs that we look down upon. On top of all of that, they learn OUR language so...who are the bad ones? Yea..ok. *ends rant*

All in all, Maryland is great! I'm smiling from the inside out...
